This space is for any information about the cool, last of the 1970's Class to post info about our upcoming reunion.

SEVEN, SEVEN, SEVEN, SEVEN, SEVENTY-NINE (remember that pep rally cheer?) - and/or Alice Cooper's "Schools Out" during our graduation ceremony!!!

***Here are the latest updates on the reunion (I will put the latest information about the reunion below this line on this post and keep editing it)***

05/07/2009

All the latest information on the reunion and the online registration is here: http://pullmanhigh.com/1979/

(I had to move it there because there was no other way to get the PayPal registration to work correctly here)

or you can read below for some of the basic details:

The reunion is scheduled for July 17 (Friday) night and July 18 (Saturday), 2009

July 17, 2009 Friday night @ Zeppoz http://www.zeppoz.com/

* beverages on your own

July 18, 2009 Saturday

Drive to the river or check out the "new" Pullman since your last visit (another idea that was mentioned is the possibility of inviting former teachers or staff to the reunion or at least trying to find out as much info about them to let people know about them)?

Boyer Park http://www.nww.usace.army.mil/corpsoutdoors/lga/boyer.htm

Camping at Boyer is an option (if you reserve it early enough) or possibly boating at Boyer (if anyone has a boat they are willing to bring).

http://www.nww.usace.army.mil/corpsoutdoors/lga/boyercampingrates.htm

Dinner Saturday night @ Fireside Grille - cost $31/single $62/couple will include dinner and two beverage coupons

Kay also mentioned that summer is busy in Pullman and that she can reserve a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express if people let her know they want a room soon enough. http://www.hiexpress.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/puwex?&cm_mmc=mdpr-_-googlemaps-_-ex-_-puwex&dp=true

Here are all of the Class of 1979 members (http://pullmanhigh.com/memberlist.php?do=getall&field6=61) (around 40 people) we currently have on PullmanHigh.com.

Here's a couple of former reunion photos for fun.

For the HUGE versions of the two photos below and three black and white photos from the yearbook go here, and click on the top two albums:

Hey people,

This maybe our last chance for a reunion. We're all getting so old, some of us may not make it to our 40 year reunion. I'll help organize if enough people show interest. I was disappointed we didn't have a 25 year reunion. Besides, it's not very far off, so we'd better get cracking on it.

Hey Tom and Rick,

I will come if it is in July or August! I won't be able to help plan it though....

I hope someone with more time than me can put this together for us.

God bless, Dan

ps. Looks like we have Bass, drums, and guitar for the reunion band...

I can help from the Seattle side, however I too can only make it in July (after the fourth) or August, because I'll be on a service trip in Africa. The weather is nicer in Pullman during July and August anyway! :)

I can't wait to see all of you guys!

:clap:We have been tossing around the idea of putting together a reunion mid July...weekend of the 18th. From what we have seen posted to this site it appears July is favored. Dan you mentioned a band...we think this is exciting news :D is it a go? We would like to start putting together some plans for Friday and Saturday night. If you guys are interested in putting together a band then we can find a place that works out. We need feedback and more people to register with this site so the word can get out. We know there are many talented people in our class who are great singers...Pam and Kay do not count...but we do think this would be a blast. We look forward to hearing from you. Hi Everyone.
Thanks for putting this site together Brad. I know how much work it is. I am part of a mobile DJ Business, and we've spent many, many, many hours on putting our site together.
So is it safe to start getting the word out there for people, to at least save the date of July 17-19?

Hi All, do we have firm dates for the reunion yet? If dates are still flexible I'd lobby for later...perhaps 31 July/01August. The water will be a bit warmer if we go to the dunes or Boyer. I also have a personal preference to have it that weekend for travel purposes. We're planning on coming when ever it is. Let me know.

Hey, guys! If Tom is willing to share the bass load, I'd like to play too. Looking forward seeing everyone, and it would be really great to have some live music. - Diana Swisher Linzey

Glad to hear the band is looking like it will be there - that was an absolute classic seeing/hearing that at our graduation. :yipi:

Thank You Linda for joining and everyone else who has joined lately (we are over 50 members):D.

I am going to keep trying to promote the site but please use Tell A Friend form (or send their email to me and I can email them if you want) at the bottom of the page if you know any other people who aren't on here yet.

Later,

Brad

:drunk:Sounds like a WINNER!

Missed the last reunion - and regretted it...

Sorem's right: many of us probably won't make the 40th...

I sent Willy Wasson an Invite -

Who knows how to get ahold of Jankovich or Small or Malmquist?

How about Lisa Johnson or Jeff Thomas or Alice Garland?

Could be a great scene if we get the word out to everyone...

Best,

Chris:
Malmquist was living in Pullman and working with Randy Emmerson doing house painting. I'll be in Pullman for a couple of days next week. I'll see if I can locate him. Let me know if you here how to get a hold of Small. I've been tracking him for 20 years and can't seem to locate him. Last word I had from his parents was he moved to Pocatello and was managing a Home Depot store. The email they gave me never worked.
Cheers,
Karl

Hey Chris and Karl,

If you know a name, city, and state you can sometimes find some info on whitepages.com here's what I found for a Michael Small that is 47 years old - not sure if it is the one we are wondering about or not. And if you pay about $2 (no I don't work for them :)) they give you a phone number.

Sam Jankovich and Mike Small are both on classmates.com and I sent them an email but I don't know if they have a current email entered on classmates.com or not.

Hey gang - Nice to see everyone alive and kicking. I spoke to small a few months back. I believe his number is ***-***-**** (This was removed in case Mike doesn't want his phone number, if it really is his current phone number, posted for all members of PullmanHigh.com to see. I did send the number in a PM to Karl and in an email to Chris. You can PM or email Mark, Karl, or Chris, by clicking on their name for the phone number. - Thanks, Brad). He was managing a Home Depot in Idaho Falls and golfing regularly. He sounded like he was doing well. I think Kimball's the only one I've seen in the past decade or so, and it's been a few years. Looking forward to seeing everyone this summer. Chris - Wear a shirt to the reunion man, you're making the rest of us look bad!

If anyone's ever down in Florida, look me up. Go Gators!

Hi All:

Pullman has a new 18 hole golf course. I haven't checked if they'll host us, but I'd like to know if any of you are interested in playing a Texas Scramble Tournament. Skill at the game won't be a requirement. Please let me know if you're interested (Kimball.Family@att.net).

Regards,
Karl Kimball

Golf sounds like a great idea. The new Palouse Ridge course is supposed to be very nice. Count me in if something happens with a scramble.

Our group (Mike Whitman, Cathy Marra, Pam Druffel, Les Line, Lester Erwin, John Hedrick, Sue Herdering, John Lafer, Kay Motley)...great to see everyone!

We are wondering if there will be a reunion band? All of us love the idea and would like to see it happen. Fireside says they have the space.

Count me in, as long as it's a scramble (haven't had a chance to golf for awhile...been too busy working!!). I'd love to play the new course. I drove by it on my last trip home to visit the folks and although it was covered with snow, it sure looked great.

Hey are there any other women willing to play? We sure had a blast at the last reunion!

I can't wait to see everyone!

If I can be any help with the planning or communicating of the reunion plans from over here in the Seattle area just let me know. Maybe the band can recreate Carol Burnett's collaboration with Alice Cooper for the definitive version of "School's Out for Summer"!

Hi Everyone!
Dorothy (Rehberg) and I are still together in spite of surviving our 10 HS and 20 HS Reunions! Matter of fact we plan on motoring up from the Tri-cities for the 30th.Sadly I have to agree with Sorem's post that more of us will not be around for our 40th. In spite of the medical advances getting old sucks! I 'll twist Karl Pool's arm to show up.
Y'all be good (Sorry left over speech pattern from 4 yrs in Virginia and 2 years in Texass)

RE: Band- I wouldnt hold my breath. Lovely idea but I don't see it happening. Tom hasnt played in ages. Diana might/might not come. Don't know about Danny Bruce. I'm sure I can arrange equipement for all but...yeah....naw.

Dan Bruce

I agree with Rick. I'm sorry to have started such an overflow of hope for the "Band." I was actually just joking about it because if you look at the 1st three posts in this tread they are Tom, Rick, and me. The logistics of actually putting, even two hours of music together by people who live in Florida, So. Cal, and Hawaii is pretty tough. Plus you would need serious equipment and rehearsal time...CDs are sounding like the way to go!

I am look forward to seeing everyone. God bless you!
